About Me!
Hi! My name is Elise Gilmore. I’ve been writing short stories and flash fiction stories since October of 2023. Most of my stories fall into the sweet romance genre, which is my personal favorite to read and write.
Most of my stories available now are short, but I have been working on a novel, called Project Turtle for now, inspired by my summers working at a summer camp near Charleston, SC.
I have had stories published by Micromance Magazine and Spark Flash Fiction. A huge honor for me was that my short story, “The Error”, was nominated for The Pushcart Prize. I also have had stories included in two sweet romance anthologies: Summer Sweethearts (which you can get for free by becoming a newsletter subscriber) and Recipes for Romance.
I grew up in South Carolina and still live there with my husband and two boys. When I’m not writing or reading, you can find me drinking tea or kombucha, obsessing about Pride and Prejudice, or singing and dancing around her house.
